Living with Your Watch: Straps and Care from WatchWorks

Being a watch enthusiast doesn’t start and stop with the purchase of a new addition to the collection. While acquiring a timepiece is often a highlight for a collector, it also marks the beginning of another phase: living with the watch.

In the past, it was customary to wear a watch on the strap it came with and only replace it when worn down. In the late 1990s, this began to change. Collectors increasingly sought multiple straps for a single watch, allowing them to match their timepiece with clothing, mood, or occasion. The Paneristi movement, dedicated to all things Panerai, popularized this trend, but today it is customary across all watch brands and models.
