Dubai Watch Week 2025: Into the Heart of Modern Watch Culture

In November 2025, WatchWorks traveled to Dubai to attend Dubai Watch Week, one of the most important gatherings in contemporary watch culture. Our visit was made even more special through a personal invitation from Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, who were celebrating their 75th anniversary. As one of the world’s most respected watch retailers, Seddiqi has played a defining role in shaping the global watch landscape, and being invited to join this milestone moment felt both humbling and inspiring.

Dubai Watch Week is not a traditional watch fair. It is a meeting point for collectors, brands, journalists, and enthusiasts, where education, design, heritage, and innovation come together in an open and welcoming setting.

Immersed in brands, stories, and craftsmanship

Walking through Dubai Watch Week is like stepping into a living watch encyclopedia. From established maisons to independent manufacturers, the fair offers rare access to the people and ideas behind the watches. Conversations flow easily, presentations feel personal, and the emphasis is firmly on sharing knowledge rather than selling products.

One of the highlights of our visit was time spent at the Audemars Piguet House, a space designed to reflect the brand’s philosophy and deep-rooted history. During our visit, Audemars Piguet presented its latest Perpetual Calendar Watch Winder, a thoughtful technical solution developed specifically for their QP movements. Seeing this level of detail and consideration behind the scenes added another layer of appreciation to the brand’s already impressive legacy.

Friends, old and new

Dubai Watch Week is as much about people as it is about watches. Throughout the week, we had the pleasure of reconnecting with familiar faces from across the industry while also meeting many new collectors, journalists, and fellow professionals. These encounters often lead to long conversations, shared meals, and, in some cases, the beginning of lasting friendships.

For WatchWorks, this human aspect is essential. Watches may be the common language, but it is the relationships behind them that truly shape our journey.
