Okay, so this Rolex Date doesn’t have an Oyster bracelet, that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Just have a look at the beautiful matte white dial with it’s Roman numerals, isn’t that made to pair with a black alligator strap! It just looks like it belongs on the wrist of some great conductor at an Opera house, or some visionary Architect in a black turtle neck sweater drawing up the next Guggenheim museum. The Rolex Date is such a timeless watch and honestly, it feels right at home at whoever’s wrist.

This particular Date is a very comfortable watch to wear, once on the wrist you’ll forget all about it.
The watch is fitted on a 19x16mm black alligator strap with an original stainless steel Rolex buckle, this all adds to the comfy-ness of the watch. The matte white, T SWISS T dial is fitted with white gold hour-markers, these hour-markers are strong and fat and kind of look like small bars of gold, very cool! All Tritium dots, located right against the hour-markers, and the Tritium inside the hands, have a wonderful eggshell colour to them, which sets of nicely with that bright white dial. The original date-wheel features a wonderful serif font with open sixes and nine numerals, which in turn, matches with the Roman numerals on the dial – a very balanced and well done design!
