UNIVERSAL GENEVE UNI-COMPAX
We’ve got another Universal Geneve Uni-Compax for you guys, this vintage chronograph is very similar to our other Uni-Compax watch, but the one we’re offering here is slightly older and is showing some more traces of aging. Nevertheless, these Uni-Compax watches are very rare and hardly come up for sale, so here’s your chance to snatch one up, or maybe even two..
The dial has aged to a warm Champagne tone (more warm and darker in real life that in any of the photo’s) with all Tritium dots and the Tritium inside the original Leaf Hands, turned completely black. Take a look at the applied Arabic numerals and the applied indices, these are beautiful and were machined from stainless steel – The stick indices also feature a nice slope or bevel on both sides which reflects the light, making the indices dance on the dial. The applied Universal Geneve shield, located right above the Universal brand name, has the ”U” filled out with black lacquer. The watch remains in unpolished conditions with a sharp case, clear and sharp lugs, sharp edges and an untouched flat steel bezel. The pushers on this Uni-Compax are still the original ones, but the Universal logo crown has been changed at some point in time for a non-branded crown. As mentioned, the Leaf Hands are the original to the watch, same goes for those beautiful hand-blued chronograph counter, and running seconds hands.
The watch it’s movement, caliber 281, was serviced by our watchmakers and we fitted the watch to a beautiful Whiskey coloured strap that matches the warm patina on the dial. This Universal Geneve Uni-Compax will be sold with a 12 month warranty.
