ROLEX ‘RED’ SUBMARINER 1680 W. PAPERS

This Rolex Submariner, reference 1680 with it’s vivid yellow patina and red Submariner wording is truly a stunning example of a vintage Rolex. The combination of the colours in the dial will make you smile from ear to ear every time you Look down at your watch. Of course the icing on the cake here is the paperwork, but don’t forget about the very well conditioned 9315 Oyster bracelet with 280 end-links, these are also getting harder and harder to come by nowadays.

As with most vintage watches the dial is one of the most important features and will make you fall in love or just keep walking.. and it’s really hard to keep walking when you’re confronted with this beauty. The bright yellow Tritium is super attractive and in great overall condition – no missing or broken lume anywhere. The yellow colour is nice and even all-over and also looks awesome against those slightly darker hands. This Red Sub with it’s 3.7 serial is a so-called MKVI dial, recognized by the closed sixes in the 660ft depth rating on the dial. The watch-case is nice and thick and features strong lugs with visible, original chamfers. The stainless steel bezel has been polished in the past but nothing too shocking. The original black insert still has the tritium pearl fitted and matches the colour of the indices. The 9315 folded Oyster bracelet with it’s 280 end-links is in wonderful condition with very little stretch. The Oyster bracelet consists of eleven folded links, the dive extension and the flip lock clasp, it will fit a wrist with a circumference up to ca. 20cm. The Rolex RED Submariner watches will only increase in value and your money in the bank is worth, well.. nothing – do the math.

We left the case and bracelet the way we found them, this means we only ultrasonicly cleaned the watch-case and bracelet, but did not polish any part of the watch, just to keep as much of the watch it’s authenticity intact. The South American, handwritten warranty has been authenticated by us, and by two other vintage Rolex authorities. The entire movement has been serviced and the watch will be sold with a 12 month warranty.
