The 116509 with discontinued silver Racing dial as seen here, is also one of the more rare models. The 18k white gold case on this Rolex is still nice and strong with the original screw-down winding crown and screw-down chronograph pushers still in place. The fixed 18k white gold, tachymeter engraved bezel does show some signs of wear, but the studio lighting makes this look way worse in the photo’s than it actually is. The heavy 18k white gold Oyster bracelet with its sturdy and well built solid gold Oyster clasp, remains in a very good condition with minimal stretch. That gorgeous silver Racing dial with its sporty red details, reminiscent of all things racing, is absolutely spotless and truly one of the best dials for the Rolex Daytona – you really need to see this one with your own two eyes! All things considered, a white gold Daytona with silver Racing dial is a watch that radiates a certain sophistication, style, and a bag full of cool confidence by the person wearing it.
