We are very happy to offer you guys this gorgeous and rare 18k white gold Patek Philippe Calatrava 3998 with it’s original boxes, original warranty, folders, booklets etc. The watch has been fully serviced by the Patek Philippe after-sales and therefor all service papers are also present with the watch, making this a super complete and very rare Patek Philippe Calatrava, collector set.

The watch was originally purchased in 1993 but ended up in a safe right after the year 2000 and remained there until we bought the watch at the beginning of the year. The first thing you notice on this Patek Calatrava is the amazing colour and finish of the beautiful Sigma dial. On the original Patek warranty certificate this dial colour is described as Opalin Soyeux, this loosely translates as a Milky Silk colour and boy are they right! When on the wrist the dial displays a gorgeous soft and milky silver tone, it immediately gives you a sense of the high quality and labor intensive process of Patek dial manufacturing! Apart from the dial colour, the baton hour-markers and dagger shaped hands are truly small pieces of art. Each marker has a fantastic shape with facet cuts all around made in such a way the light bounces of the facets making the white gold hour-markers and hands look completely black from certain angles. Not only special and beautiful, but this also provides excellent readability.

The font used for the numbers on the relatively small date-wheel are just perfect – they’re sleek, black and clearly visible with beautiful serifs on all numerals. The white gold 34mm case is in a very good condition with clear and sharp lines all around. The watch is fitted on a beautiful black alligator strap with another, extra, Molequin ‘Made to Order’ strap on the way. The original 18k white gold Patek Philippe tang buckle is also present of course. The watch is powered by Pateks famed Caliber 315 SC. This 29 jeweled movement features a display of hours and minutes with a central seconds hand and a date window at the three o ‘clock position.
