MOVADO SUPER SUB SEA
This has got to be the best Movado Super Sub Sea Chronograph we’ve seen in a while! Normally we are not that pretentious, but in this case, there’s just no other way to describe this gorgeous wristwatch from the era when going fast and practicing deepsea diving were among the coolest things one could do.
Everything, and I mean everything is still all original! The matte black, reverse panda dial with it’s Tachymetre scale is spotless and shows tritium that has aged to a very warm and super attractive yellow colour with all the original hands to match! Both pump pushers and the winding crown with Movado logo are also still the original ones and are fitted to a very well and strong conditioned stainless steel case with visible chamfers on all four of the lugs. The stainless steel, rotatable bezel looks unpolished and is still fitted with the original insert which is showing a gorgeous, grey-ish/blue tone, super attractive! The case-back is sharp with all engravings visible to the naked eye and once removed, one can have a gaze at that beautiful, columnwheel movement.
Now, at the end of the 1960s Movado and Zenith worked closely together. As a result this Movado houses a chronograph movement from Zenith, the caliber 146 HP from a Martel ebauche, look closely at our other 1960’s Chronograph, the Zenith, and you will see the similarity with this Movado. The movement has been fully serviced by our watchmakers and the watch will be sold with a 12 month warranty.
