IWC Top Gun Miramar

TOP GUN watches, which IWC has been making since 2007, take their name from the legendary Navy Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN). In this program, the US Navy trains the very best pilots in flying and tactical skills. After graduating as Strike Fighter Tactics Instructors (SFTI), the pilots return to their respective units as teachers.

To withstand the extreme strain that pilots can experience in the cockpit of supersonic jets like the F/A-18 Super Hornet or during long-lasting missions on an aircraft carrier, IWC’s TOP GUN watches are engineered using extremely robust and resilient materials such as titanium, ceramics and Ceratanium. Like a lot of the other Top Gun Pilot’s watches, the case and bezel of this MK18 were also manufactured from black ceramic. Inside the case sits a soft-iron inner case for protection against magnetic fields. The outer case-back is machined from high grade titanium and is adorned with the TOP GUN logo. The convex shaped sapphire crystal has antireflective coating on both sides, creating an enhanced and razor sharp readability. This IWC Top Gun Miramar is worn on its original 20mm Green textile strap, finished with a Black calf skin lining and titanium IWC pin buckle.

As always, this IWC Top Gun Miramar was once again fully serviced (via an official IWC service center) and all seals were replaced and the watch has once again been waterproof tested. This ‘Mil Spec cool’ IWC will be sold with a 24 month warranty.
