Datejust 1600 Perfect Tritium
This vintage Rolex Datejust has a serial number dating the production back to 1970, imho this is perhaps the best period in which the most wonderful dials were created by Rolex. The off-white pie-pan that sits inside this Datejust is very attractive and slightly changes its color to a cream tone when worn indoors. The smooth finished surface on the dial is something we see more often on early seventies Datejust watches, but not like this particular one. Here the tone is more matte and the dial really draws you in, it really is a Datejust with a unique look – I feel it will be hard to find another 1600 with this particular look and overall condition.
Again, the dial on this smooth bezeled vintage Datejust is the ultimate eye-catcher; the sleek ‘stick’ hour-markers have a polished finish and are adorned with a thin black line to enhance the overall readability. All Tritium inside the hands and on all of the hour-plots are wonderfully patinated to a warm custard tone and truly compliment the entire dial and watch (the devil is in the details) Also notice that the colour of the Tritium is perfectly matching, hence our nickname for this one. Through the date window one can see the original date-wheel with its beautiful “open 6 and 9” serif font numerals. The case is nice and strong with four sharp lugs and a clean, stainless steel smooth bezel. The 62510H Jubilee bracelet is in a fair condition with minimal stretch compared to other bracelets from the same period.
As always this vintage beauty was fully serviced and will be sold with our 24 month warranty.
