1803 Day-Date
Here’s another stunning, vintage Rolex 1803 Day-Date. This 18k yellow gold Day-Date was manufactured in 1976 and has a striking, silver diamond pie-pan dial. The day-disc on this gem is Spanish, while the original date-disc features the coveted open 6 and 9 numbers.
The 18k yellow gold fluted bezel, the case, crown and case-back, all radiate a warmer glow of the yellow gold, all thanks to the way 18k gold was composed back in the day. The slightly larger amounts of copper used to manufacture 18k yellow gold back in the 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s, gives these vintage Day-Dates a wonderful, slightly darker glow which really adds to the watch its beauty and (warm) vintage appearance. However, with this Day-Date it seems extra warm somehow and keeps catching your eyes, we hope it’s visible in the photo’s, cause to us it’s absolutely stunning. The original silver sunburst factory diamond dial, is set with ten diamonds in total; eight round-cut diamonds and two baguette-cut ones. Search the world wide web and you will find that the availability for a silver sunburst diamond pie-pan dial, specifically made for a yellow gold 1803 Day-Date, is quit a rare thing to find. Most 1803’s from the 1970’s were simply manufactured with plain golden dials.. Photographs do not do this timepiece justice, and you should really view this one with your own two eyes. Therefore, we would be delighted to welcome you to the office to try this vintage Rolex while sipping on a cup of our freshly brewed coffee.
The 1556 caliber movement on this 1803 Day-Date was fully serviced by our watchmakers according the Rolex factory specifications. This vintage Day-Date will be delivered with our extensive two year warranty.
