1675 GMT Maxi dial
It’s been a while, but we’ve located another gorgeous and all original GMT-Master and this time it’s a 1675 GMT Maxi-dial. The gorgeous matte black dial features beautiful, larger and eggshell patinated Tritium indices with a colour that matches perfectly with all the hands. The case is in a very nice condition with fat lugs, strong crownguards and a sharp stainless steel bezel. The watch is still fitted to the original 78360 Oyster bracelet with 580 endlinks and is from the same year as the rest of the watch; 1978. There is some stretch to the bracelet but nothing too shocking, this bracelet will last for another 40 years.
The inlay on our GMT is also still the original, a red-back Fat Font inlay, which has nicely faded to a beautiful light blue and raspberry red – both colors are very attractive and immediately catch your attention once the watch is on your wrist. The silver date-wheel is also the original and features the desirable open six and nine numerals. Take a good look and you will see that the beautiful MK5, matte black dial is spotless and all the tritium inside the ‘Maxi’ plots are present and in near perfect condition. Fun fact; We suspect that the small part of grey-ish fading on the bezel around the three o’clock position (between the 4 and 6 on the Pespi insert) is due to the former owners thumb; when winding the crown or setting the hands, the thumb touches/rubs this part of the inlay exactly.
Its becoming very hard to find these 1675 GMT-Master watches in this particular original condition. If you’ve been looking for some time now, this just might be the one – just don’t hesitate too long.. The entire watch was fully serviced according to the Rolex specs and this 1675 GMT Maxi-Dial will once again be sold with a 24 month warranty.
