16610 Submariner Pinholes/SEL
A Rolex Submariner with a deep, dark glossy dial and strong case, a sharp bezel and excellent bracelet is always a joy to wear and offer, especially if that Sub features a case reminiscent of the good ol’ days of Submariner production and features holes in each lug to accommodate a watch tool, in order to remove the Oyster bracelet – This case is also referred to as a pinhole case. Combine this with the perfect 93250 SEL Oyster bracelet and you truly have a watch for life!
So, this Y-serial Submariner from 2002 has the, by vintage watchnerd standards, somewhat cooler pinhole case, but is also fitted to the 93250 SEL (Solid End Link) bracelet. This combination of a pinhole case and SEL bracelet is only found on A, P, K and Y serial Rolex sports watches and was discontinued during the production of the Y serial (production run is roughly from 1999 to 2003) This is a great combination if you’d like to enjoy a more ‘vintage’ style case, but would like to have modern techniques and a solid water resistance for everyday reliability. This 16610 Submariner remains in a beautiful condition with a spotless dial, original insert, strong case and an all over excellent condition. She’s accompanied by a ‘seal bag’ Rolex service pouch including the watch’s hangtags and a WWH service rapport. The Submariner watch is one of the most Iconic Rolex’s ever made, whether you wear it on the beach or in the boardroom, it’s equally at home with both.
This 2002 Submariner was fully serviced and is once again running according the COSC specs. She will be sold with a 12 month warranty.
