1601 Datejust Champagne dial
We’re happy to offer you another cool, vintage Rolex Datejust – this time we managed to get our hands on a very nice 1601 reference with Champagne, pie-pan dial. This warm coloured dial is adorned by beautifully aged, yellow Tritium dots at the end of all the (white gold) indices. At first those indices look like Baton hour indices, but look closer and you will see that each index has a V shaped cut inwards over the entire length, creating two miniature slopes which reflect the light in a way that turns half of the index nearly black, and therefor enhancing the legibility, it’s truly genius 1960’s Rolex dial design! From a sharp angle the dial really turns to a heavy champagne tone which looks very cool! This one will be a true joy on the wrist with about two to three diifferent colour tones to start your day right and bright.
This 1601 Champagne Datejust is fitted to a 62510 solid Jubilee bracelet with an ‘A’ clasp code, which means this Jubilee is most likely the original one to the watch – this bracelet remains in a good condition with a clean folding clasp with clear Rolex coronet. All in all a wonderful vintage Datejust with cool design elements, typical of 1970’s Rolex design. The overall watch is in a very good condition with a thick and solid case, nice and crispy lugs and of course the 1601’s no.1 characteristic, an 18k white gold fluted bezel – What else do you really need..
As always, the watch was fully serviced according the Rolex specs and will be sold with our 24 month warranty.
