1803 Day-Date 18k White Gold

It’s a watch that won’t be noticed as quickly as it’s yellow gold brother, as the white gold Day-Date is a much more undercover watch to wear. ‘Stealth wealth’ is a nice way to describe it and there’s some truth to that, cause you don’t buy a vintage white gold Day-Date simply to show off.. The case and bracelet on this white gold Day-Date still look very fresh with strong lugs and a fat case. The silver, Sunray finished pie-pan dial is absolutely stunning and the white gold fluted bezel is in a more then fair condition. I love the dial’s details, such as the sleek 1960’s Serif printing and the heavy Serif font on the original Day and Date discs – they all radiate high quality finish. Also notice the beautifully patinated Tritium dots, these show a nice vanilla colour and add a dash of warmth to the entire dial – The same applies to the Tritium inside the hands. The original, 18k white gold President bracelet is still in a good condition and features the white gold Oyster clasp (with cool Rolex coronet) which makes it very easy to adjust the President bracelet to your wrist size – this isn’t always the case with the more modern, concealed clasp bracelets as adjusting the bracelet there would mean adding or removing a link, something you can’t do on the go.. So there’s a big plus wearing this Oyster clasp President bracelet.
