For much of the past forty years, it has spent its time safely stored away, seeing very little wear. As a result, this is a particularly fresh-to-market example, retaining an honesty and originality that is becoming increasingly difficult to find.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan class=\"iJBc4W_changedText\"\u003eProduced during the final years of the first-generation Tudor Submariner, this example features the characteristic rounded crown guards, a 39 mm Oyster case and Tudor's self-winding calibre 390. The case bears serial number starting with 5713, placing it firmly within the 1967 production period.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan class=\"iJBc4W_changedText\"\u003eThe dial is perhaps the most intriguing aspect of the watch. It represents a transitional moment in Tudor's evolution from the earlier gilt dials towards the matte white-printed dials that would define the final 7928 examples. The central inscriptions appear in a silver-white matte finish, while the outer minute track and the T SWISS T signature retain a distinctly warm, gilt appearance.
