The red text on the dial is this bright because it was printed on top of white Submariner lettering, and in contrast to our other 1680 (which is a MK6 where the red is directly printed onto the black dial) here the red stands out even more! This bright red text combined with the matte black dial and yellow patina is a feast for the eyes, especially outside and in the sunlight – the entire watch really pops and it will never get boring.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNot only is the red text a striking feature on this watch, another detail that really stands out is the beautiful and warm yellow patinated Tritium on all the indices and inside the hands – it’s very attractive and perfectly matching. The case is nice and fat with the original chamfers on all four lugs still visible. But, this is also a watch that was used for which it was made for, so this MK4 1680 Submariner is showing some discoloration on the left-side edges of the dial (most likely caused by water) just around the 6 and 8 and the  9 and 10 Tritium indices – also please note that the 10 \u0026amp; 11 hour dots are missing some Tritium. The watch is fitted to a 93150 Submariner Oyster flip-lock bracelet from 1988 and the stainless steel bezel is fitted with an early Rolex service insert with Tritium pearl. All the above makes this 1680 Red Submariner a more affordable watch than other ones out there, so if you’re looking for a very attractive RED Rolex Submariner against a friendlier price, this just might be your Sub!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe watch is accompanied by 2015 Dutch Rolex Service Center paperwork (service card \u0026amp; booklet) including the original Rolex inner and Outer boxes, but unfortunately due to the COVID-19 situation we couldn’t get those out of the safe to photograph, but believe us when we tell you that this is a very nice Submariner set.
