The Explorer we’re offering here is a fairly early one from 1996 and therefor features movement number 3185 and has Tritium on the indices and inside the hands, recognized by the dial labeled with SWISS T \u0026lt; 25.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn our humble opinion these early examples of the Explorer II with pinhole case, Tritium dial and hands and the older style, non flip lock bracelet are the best ones to look out for if you’re interested in buying a neo-vintage, Sports Rolex. Later models of the Explorer II have Luminova on the indices and in the hands and even newer ones feature the Rolex rehaut (Rolex engravings on the space between the dial and the crystal). Considering that the Explorer II celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2021 it’s probably not a bad idea to pick one of these puppies up, prices will only continue to increase..
