Cartier Pasha GMT Power Reserve

The Cartier Pasha, invented upon request by a friend of Louis Cartier who needed a waterproof swimming watch, is a timepiece renowned for its instantly recognizable crown with cap and chain system. The crown that you can see is really a cap with a sapphire cabochon, attached to a chain link and an anchor, which protects the much smaller crown underneath – A cool and very handsome feature.

Inside this Pasha beats an automatic winding movement, the Cartier caliber 480. This caliber is a movement built from a Girard Perregaux caliber 3100 ebauche. This means that these movements are very well built and very reliable, as are they beautiful – All bridges and the automatic winding rotor are fully decorated with Cartier’s “Double C” signature engraving. The dial is still the original Tritium one which is also wonderfully decorated with a radial Guilloche pattern. That dial is outfitted with a Retrograde Power Reserve scale just above the 6 o’clock position. Just below the 12 o’clock position is the 24 hour sub-dial, which can be used for reading a second timezone (GMT function). That 24 hour sub-dial features a wonderful globe pattern engraving, along with concentric Guilloche. The date is displayed in the round window between the 4 and 5 o’clock position and is magnified by a loupe on the inside of the crystal. The blued hands are filled with Luminova and were changed-out by Cartier during the watch’s last service in 2020, due to cracks in the Tritium. Apart from those hands, everything else on this Pasha is still original from the year this watch first was sold.

This Cartier Pasha GMT Power Reserve was fully serviced by Cartier in October of 2020, and is therefor a wonderful Pasha which remains in perfect conditions. As always, this beauty will be delivered with our 24 month warranty including all the Cartier goodies – A whole lotta bang for your buck!
